Cabinet Construction

A fifteen-step process creates the durability and beauty of Wood-Mode cabinetry. Both Wood-Mode and Brookhaven cabinetry boast furniture-grade finishes, and follow the first eight steps, for durability:

1. White hardwoods are sprayed with water;
2. The stain is wiped on;
3. The stain is then baked in;
4. 8-10 coats of sealer are sprayed on;
5. The sealer coats are baked in;
6. The sealer coats are hand-sanded;
7. 8-10 coats of conversion varnish are sprayed on;
8. The varnish coats are then baked in.

The luster of Wood-Mode cabinets' finish is further refined using additional steps which feature Wood-Mode's exclusive hand-rubbing process. These steps are for lasting beauty:

9. The wood is now sanded with wet or dry paper;
10. The wood is cleaned;
11. Then the surface is buffed with a Scotchbrite® pad;
12. Buffing continues with a 000-grade steel-wool pad;
13. A coat of paste wax is applied;
14. The wood is then hand-buffed;
15. The wood is finally machine buffed to perfection.
